Abandon Control – Album Art
It was such a joy to once again express the beautiful and thrilling music of Barega Saxophone Quartet in visual art. The artwork for their last album, Three Serpents (check it out here), pushed my boundaries both technically, through the medium of collage, and in the way that I interpret stimulus to illustration. I challenged myself further again with this album; trying to delve deeper into the music to draw out themes and imagery to enhance the listener’s experience. I also incorporated photographs and digital manipulation into my cut-paper collage method.
I am so proud of these pieces and I hope that they are enjoyed.
